The sets of the upcoming movie is in My Name is Khan has been set up in Mumbai. Bandra based Mehboob Studios is the venue for the shooting where a huge set had been put up for My Name is Khans ongoing shooting. Art director Sharmistha Roy who has done most of Karan Johar’s films is the designer of this set.

The shoot shall begin once Shah Rukh recuperates from his shoulder surgery and shooting is stalled till then. Ths studio has been booked till April 17th and it is not still confirmed when it shall begin.

All the scenes that do not require Shah Rukh are being shot in Mumbai as King Khan is not required in these. He will resume work once he is better. Earlier the film has been shot in various cities of USA and also in London. There is one more shooting schedule taking place in the USA later in coming months.

Contrary to most of Karan's movies My Name is Khan is a song less film, My Name Is Khan is based on a true story directed by Johar and produced by Dharma Productions. The screenplay is written by Shibani Bathija and the movie stars Kajol opposite SRK. The music is composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Cinematography is by Ravi K. Chandran.
