Tanay Chheda who played Darsheel Safary's best friend in Taare Zameen Par and the middle version of Jamal in Oscar winning film Slumdog Millionaire is now a part of My Name is Khan. He will be playing the child avatar of Shah Rukh's character.
He will play the childhood version of Shah Rukh's character in this movie. As we can see he is landing in one high profile movie after the other and all this at only 12 years of age.
Tanay’s fabulous performance in Slumdog Millionaire earned him the role in Karan's My Name Is Khan. Describing his part in the film, Chheda said “It’s a small role and a very important film. And it will be shot during my holidays. Except My Name Is Khan, my parents have decided to let me concentrate on my studies and made an exception.”
My Name Is Khan is based on a true story and concerns Rizwan Khan, a Muslim man who was arrested in Los Angeles after his disability was mistaken for ’suspicious behaviour’.
Tanay Chheda,has decided to focus on his studies and keep movies aside for a while. Except for his next big project with Shahrukh Khan in My Name is Khan, in which he plays a young Rizwan Khan, he has no other movies in the waiting. Time to study and a time for priorities for this young actor.
